Meanwhile, information on the New Trier Township results of the 2010 primary and earlier elections is available at the County Clerk's web site, both by township and by precinct at the website of the County Clerk, David Orr,  www.cookcountyclerk.com.

Look for the box that says "Election Results Archive" at the top right hand side of the page,

choose the election date and hit Go  for suburban Cook County election results.

In 2008, besides delivering a 63% vote for Barack Obama and Joe Biden, New Trier Township voters reelected all seven of the incumbent Democrats representing our area in Springfield or Washington D.C. The two remaining seats held by Republicans were challenged unsuccessfully in very close races. In 2010, those two seats will be vacated by their Republican office holders, creating an excellent opportunity for several impressive Democratic candidates now in the Democratic Primary race.
