Here's how we plan to keep winning elections in New Trier:
Twenty years ago nearly all the election victories in New Trier went to Republicans. Today, the opposite is true.
We plan to keep it that way.
Election Day success requires three key things: Great candidates, adequate campaign funding and dedicated grassroots volunteers focused on victory until the last vote is in.
That grassroots work is where we come in and where you can have an impact on ensuring that New Trier continues to have progressive voices speaking for you in Springfield and Washington D.C.
Action you can take right now:
Be a precinct representative
This is a critically important grassroots role. The success of every candidate's campaign comes down to identifying where the votes are and getting them to the polls on Election Day. Having two or three people in each precinct as year-round NTDO reps, is the key to keeping progressive Democrats representing us. Click here to request more information.
Pass petitions for your favorite candidates
Before any candidate can get on the February Primary ballot, they need the signatures of hundreds of local voters. The deadline for submitting the petitions is in early December. If you're already supporting a candidate, this is a great way to help them. Contact your candidate's campaign headquarters or call the New Trier Dems' office: 847-446-8030.
Host a neighborhood discussion night
The many issues on everybody's mind these days can make for a stimulating evening of conversation. If hosting a discussion night sounds interesting, the New Trier Dems will help you put it together and provide a knowledgeable discussion leader. Learn more here.
Register new voters
Voter registration is one of the keys to winning elections. It's easy to become a Voter Registrar. Once you have your credentials you can register voters anywhere in Cook County. Find out more here.
