The 2010 NTDO Forum Series

During 2010, New Trier Township Committeeman Dean Maragos and the New Trier Dems Program Committee are hosting forums featuring prominent public figures. The forums are being held to inform New Trier residents about vital government issues and seek the public’s perspective on these issues. Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan launched the series in April. Illinois Governor Pat Quinn was the speaker in May. Future forums are tentatively planned after the summer vacation season. Unless otherwise announced, all Forums will be held at the Winnetka Community House located on Pine Street just east of Green Bay Road. Admission to the 2010 Forum Series is free to NTDO members and $20 per event to non-members.

About past Forum speakers:

Governor Pat Quinn has devoted his life to standing up for working people and fighting political corruption, government waste and unfair taxes. He earned a national reputation as an honest leader who has never been afraid to speak his mind and battle special interests.

Lisa Madigan was elected Illinois’ first female attorney general in 2002 and stands as the “People’s Lawyer.”  She’s an innovative champion of consumer rights, tough unwavering advocate for working families and national leader on consumer protection issues.  Her initiatives include protecting children, nursing-home residents and homeowners, and rooting-out corruption.
